The SCSBC Directors of Learning, Darren Spyksma and Greg Gerber, work with Christian schools to support and improve learning through professional development and resource support. Their goal is to help schools provide quality formational learning experiences for every student.
Darren Spyksma
As Director of Learning for the Society of Christian Schools in British Columbia, Darren enjoys supporting school administrators and teacher leaders in imagining and designing transformative learning for all students. Through the leading of ongoing professional development, teacher workshops, and leader mentoring, Darren supports the development of Christian education in British Columbia and internationally.

Greg Gerber
Greg is passionate about education. Serving as Director of Learning for the Society of Christian Schools in BC, Greg invests in finding ways to assist teaching staff and school administrators in creating authentic learner-focused education. Greg also enjoys current educational research engagements, teaching various education courses at SFU and TWU, and exploring and employing effective teaching-technology integration.
